Irish Begin 2026 at Simmons-Harvey Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Notre Dame track & field team opened the 2026 calendar year at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational at the University of Michigan on Saturday.

Titus Bretzke led the way for the Irish as he posted a personal record time of 1:19.19 in the 600m race to capture first place. The time also marked the fifth-fastest men’s 600m indoor time in program history. Jackson McDowell claimed second place in the high jump with a 2.05m mark on the day.

Gabriella Zeller placed third overall with a personal-best mark of 12.08m in the triple jump. That performance now stands as the sixth-best women’s triple jump effort in program history. Rudecia Bernard, meanwhile, took second in the high jump with a 1.67m showing.

The Irish return home to host the Notre Dame Invitational on Saturday, January 24 starting at noon ET.
