SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame track and field program opened the 2025-26 indoor season with split-squad efforts by hosting the Blue-Gold Invitational on Friday and competing in the Boston University Colyear-Danville Opener on Saturday.
In their first home meet of the season, the Irish were led by first place finishes by Jillian Stafford in the women’s weight throw (17.04m), Obiora Okeke in the men’s weight throw (20.93m), Jackson McDowell in the high jump (2.11m), and Julia Reglewski in the women’s shot put (14.53m) in the field events.
Reed Cherry took first in the men’s 1,000m race (2:24.63). Rosie Mucharsky ran unattached and had the top time in the women’s one-mile race (4:43.14). Benji Anderson turned in the top time in the men’s one-mile run (4:05.08). Camille Peisner had the best time of the day in the women’s 500m race (1:13.75).
