EUGENE, Ore. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish wrapped up their 2024 outdoor track and field season at Hayward Field as they competed in the NCAA National Championship June 5-8.
For the women’s team, Olivia Markezich and Sophie Novak each recorded personal bests in the 3000m steeplechase. Markezich took second in the event, running a PR time of 9:17.36 and earning First Team All-American honors. Novak finished seventh in the steeplechase with a time of 9:40.54, also earning First Team All-American honors.
Jadin O’Brien was the runner-up in the heptathlon, recording a career-best 6234 points. O’Brien earned All-American honors as she finished first in the 100m hurdles, second in shot put, and third in line jump.
Siona Chisholm finished 15th in the 500om with a time of 15:47.71, earning Second Team All-American honors.
On the men’s side, Tyler Berg capped off his career with a 13th place finish in the 10,000m as he set a PR in the event with a time of 28:23.59, earning Second Team All-American honors.
CJ Singleton and Tom Seitzer finished fifth and 11th in the 3000m steeplechase, respectively. Singleton ran a PR time of 8:27.46 and Seitzer ran a 8:35.70 as they both earned All-American honors.
