CORTINA, Italy – Notre Dame alumna Jadin O’Brien placed seventh in the two-woman bobsled finals in her Olympic debut with Team USA on Saturday.
O’Brien and teammate Elana Meyers Taylor had runs of 57.14 and 57.99 on Friday before posting runs of 57.60 and 57.76 on Saturday to finish tied for seventh overall with a cumulative time of 3:50.49. The pair were less than a second-and-a-half from a potential podium finish as fellow Team USA tandem Kallie Armbruster Humphries and Jasmine Jones took the bronze with a time of 3:49.21.
The Olympic competition made history in and of itself for O’Brien as she became the first woman Notre Dame athlete to compete in the Winter Games.
