CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference named Jadin O’Brien as the Women’s Outdoor Field Performer of the Week after her performance over the past weekend.
A native of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, O’Brien posted a heptathlon score of 6231 at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational. She had a personal-best 43.54m in the javelin to finish first among heptathlon athletes. O’Brien also finished first in the 100m hurdles, shot put, and 800m components of the heptathlon competition. Her score is currently the top mark among ACC athletes and is second among all DI heptathlon scores.
It is the first ACC Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honor of the season and second ACC weekly honor of the year for O’Brien.
