O'Brien Named Great Lakes Field Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Jadin O’Brien was named as the 2025 NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for her efforts during the season.

The Pewaukee, Wisconsin native captured her third-consecutive NCAA pentathlon championship earlier this month. Her 4596-point total put her No. 3 on the meet’s all-time chart and set Notre Dame, ACC, and facility records in the process. Earlier this season, she broke her own Notre Dame program record in the pentathlon twice – a 4552 and a 4580 – at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational and the ACC Championships, respectively.
