O'Brien Named to The Bowerman Watch List

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Jadin O’Brien was one of ten women named to The Bowerman Watch List released on March 26.

O’Brien is the sole combined events athlete on the third list of the year by The Bowerman Advisory Board. The Pewaukee, Wisconsin native was recently named as the Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The three-time pentathlon NCAA Champion, O’Brien broke her own school record in the event three times during the indoor track & field season. She captured her fourth-consecutive ACC title in the pentathlon and set the facility record for the event at both the ACC and NCAA championships in 2025.

According to The Bowerman, the award is bestowed to collegiate track & field’s top male and female athlete for the year. The Bowerman Advisory Board, and ultimately, The Bowerman Voters, are instructed to consider performances inclusively from the collegiate indoor track & field and outdoor track & field seasons only.

O’Brien is just the third Notre Dame woman to be named to The Bowerman Watch List as she joins Molly Seidel and Olivia Markezich on that exclusive list.
