AS A JUNIOR: Key member of the Irish women[apos]s sprint group who earned all-BIG EAST honors in both the indoor and outdoor seasons … ran well at the Notre Dame Invitational, clocking a season-best 24.99 in the 200 meters and 55.98 in the 400 … established her season-best 400 meters at the Meyo Invitational, running 55.72 … also won the 500 meters at the meet, crossing the line in 1:13.51 … qualified for the BIG EAST indoor meet in all three events … concentrated on the 500 meters at the league meet … emerged from the prelims in second place after running 1:13.04, the eighth-fastest mark in school history … ran even faster in the finals, placing third with a time of 1:12.26, the second-best mark in Notre Dame history … that finished earned her all-conference honors, and she also picked up all-BIG EAST laurels with the 4×400-meter relay (3:41.51, second place) … now owns four career indoor all-BIG EAST honors … established a career-best mark in the 200 meters at the Arizona State Invitational … ran 55.00 outdoors over 400 meters at the Azusa Pacific Invitational … dropped that time to 54.81 at the Long Beach Invitational … stepped up to 800 meters at the Central Collegiate Championship, qualifying for the BIG EAST meet with a time of 2:12.46 … ran the 400 meters at the outdoor BIG EAST Championship, qualifying for the event final in 55.07 … finished fourth overall, just behind two of her Notre Dame teammates and outside of all-conference range … however, did grab her first outdoor all-BIG EAST honors as a member of the victorious 4×400-meter relay … was honored with teammates Maryann Erigha, Okechi Ogbuokiri and Joanna Schultz … ran a career best in the 400 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational of 54.74, almost qualifying for the NCAA Mideast Regional … appears capable of making the step up to national qualification in 2008 … one of the most experienced sprinters on the team.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Showed progress early in her second season with the Irish … posted a huge career best in the indoor 400 meters at the Blue & Gold Invitational, also running a season-best time of 55.82 to qualify for the BIG EAST Championship … posted a 200-meter league qualifying time at the Blue & Gold meet, covering the distance in 25.22 seconds … did not compete throughout the rest of the 2006 track season.
AS A FRESHMAN: Added strong depth to the Irish sprint group … took second in the 400 meters at the Blue & Gold Invitational, posting a time of 58.34 … established her current career best in the 500 meters at the Notre Dame Opener, running 1:15.23 … competed well at the Notre Dame Invitational, taking fourth in the 200 meters in 26.05 and third in the 400 in 57.51 … ran 1:15.35 over 500 meters for third place at the Meyo Invitational … ran in three events at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship … earned all-BIG EAST honors in the distance medley relay with Stephanie Madia, Sunni Olding, and Brianne Schmidt (second, 11:32.29) … nearly earned another all-BIG EAST honor in the 4×400 meter relay by finishing third in 3:47.99 with Okechi Ogbuokiri, Tiffany Gunn, and Maryann Erigha … also competed in the 500 meters at the league meet, finishing tenth in 1:16.99 … got off to a fast start in the outdoor season with a 56.97 time in the 400 meters at the Willie Williams Invitational … ran 25.79 in the 200 meters at the Dr. Pepper Invitational … set a new career best in the outdoor 400 meters at the Hillsdale Gina Relays, running 56.58 for third … competed in two events at the BIG EAST outdoor meet, placing ninth in the 400 meters with a career-best 56.15 and taking sixth with the 4×400 meter relay … teammates on the relay included Ogbuokiri, Erigha and Brienne Davis.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Four-year letterwinner in track as a sprinter at Westbury High School … collected All-America honors her senior season as a member of the 4×400 and 4×200 meter relay teams that competed at the 2004 Nike national indoor meet … team captain for three seasons and named team MVP her senior campaign … regional champion as a freshman … her Houston Heat summer track team captured first-place in the 4×800 and 4×400 relays at the Junior Olympic National Championship in 2003 … born April 7, 1986 in Houston, Texas … has one younger brother … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a sociology major.
