AS A JUNIOR: One of the team[apos]s top sprinters in the indoor season and the top hurdler during outdoor season … placed second in the 500 meters at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener, with a time of 1:04.52 … ran the 500 meters in 1:04.58 at the Notre Dame Invitational, good for fourth place … finished second in the 400 meters at the Indiana Invitational (48.92) … was the top Irish runner in the 300 meters at the Meyo Invitational, using a time of 34.79 to finish fifth … just missed all-BIG EAST honors at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships, placing fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.31 … moved to the hurdles in the outdoor season, placing third in the 400-meter hurdles at the Arizona State Invitational (51.79) … picked up another third place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays, this time posting a 52.32 time … again narrowly missed all-BIG EAST honors at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.37 … placed 15th in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Mideast Regionals in Louisville, Ky., with a time of 53.74.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Opened the indoor season with a first-place finish in the 500 meters at the Blue and Gold Invitational, clocking in at 1:04.16 … ran the 800 meters at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener in 1:52.31 to finish first … took second in the 400 meters at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 48.40 … won the Indiana Relays 400 meters in 48.35 … earned his fifth all-BIG EAST honor with a third-place finish in the 400 meters, clocking in at 48.00 … opened the outdoor season with a win, taking first place in the 400 meters in 48.36 at the Mike Poehlein Invitational … finished 17th at the Ole Miss Invitational, running the 400 meters in 49.37 … finished 22nd in the 400-meter hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 56.58 … ran the VS Athletics Beach Invitational 400-meter hurdles in 53.69 to finish fifth … narrowly missed more BIG EAST honors with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the BIG EAST Championship, clocking in at 52.62 … closed out the season with a 15th-place performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational, running the 400-meter hurdles in 52.71.

AS A FRESHMAN: Had an incredible debut season with the Irish … earned four all-BIG EAST honors and posted 13 performances (between the 500 meters, 400-meter hurdles, and 4×400-meter relay) that rank among the top-10 in Notre Dame history … also was the lone Irish male to win an individual BIG EAST outdoor title, taking first in the 400-meter hurdles … ran 48.13 in his first collegiate 400m race at the Meyo Invitational … placed second at the same competition in the 500 meters, covering the distance in 1:02.61, the fourth-fastest mark in school history … had two outstanding runs in the 500 at the BIG EAST indoor meet, placing second in the prelims in 1:02.51 and third in the final with a time of 1:02.14, the second-best in Irish history … in addition to the all-conference honors earned with that placement, garnered more accolades as a member of the third-place 4×400-meter relay … the squad of Molnar, Jordan Powell, Austin Wechter and Ryan Postel ran 3:10.84, the fourth-fastest in the school record book … made his outdoor debut at the Arizona State Invitational, placing fourth in the 400 hurdles in 52.36 … also ran the 4×400-meter relay at ASU, placing second in 3:09.38 with Powell, Wechter and Postel (the time is second in school history) … ran 51.87 in the hurdles to take second at the Azusa Pacific Invitational … placed third and posted the second-best mark in school history at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays with his 51.50 second effort in the 400 hurdles … clocked 48.16 in the 400 meters at the Central Collegiate Championships … won the 400-meter hurdles at the BIG EAST oudoor meet with times of 51.87 and 51.62 in the prelims and final, respectively … became the first Notre Dame athlete to win a BIG EAST title in the 400 hurdles … also earned all-BIG EAST honors with his second-place showing on the 4×400-meter relay … competed with the same squad that ran at the indoor league meet and posted a time of 3:10.83, a top-10 school mark … competed at the NCAA Mideast Regionals in the 400 hurdles … reached the event final by placing fifth in the preliminaries with a 51.60 mark … ultimately took eighth at the competition, missing NCAA advancement, but earning all-Mideast Region honors.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Member of Hungarian National Team … had stellar 2006 season that included winning titles in 400-meter dash (47.63) and 400-meter hurdles (51.97) at European Under-23 Outdoor Championships … also won 2006 Hungarian national titles in 400 meters (47.53) and 400 hurdles (51.63) … fourth in 400-meter hurdles at 2005 European Junior Championships (51.38) … 2005 Hungarian Junior National Champion in 400 meters (47.88) and 400 hurdles (51.99) … born July 1, 1986 in Dunaujvaros, Hungary … son of Magdolna Sas and Ferenc Molnar … younger of two children … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as a finance major.
